In your role as Continuous Improvement GROWTTH® Engineer II you will be responsible for the following tasks;
· Leading continuous improvement (CI) projects and actively support developing a Lean culture through example and practice.
· Support GROWTTH® events, (Kaizens, VSM, A3, 5S, 3P etc) and systemising the output.
· Train and support staff in Lean thinking, culture, behaviours & methodologies.
· Work with teams across the company, to deliver Year-on-Year saving through excellent project execution.
· Marketing the GROWTTH® program across the company
· Support to bringing Freudenberg Medical, Ireland to a level where it is recognised as a COE for Lean within the industry.
· Ensuring that “Sustainability” is a theme at the forefront of every project and task.
· Ensure that all changes are implemented in compliance with the QMS, (ISO13485 / FDA) and the OH&S, Environmental and Energy Management Systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001) and other regulatory requirements as relevant to the Company.
· Ensure that health and safety requirements are considered before implementing change so that potential hazards or risks are identified and mitigated.
· Be aware of the potential environmental impacts associated with your work and the implications of non-conformance.
· Contribute to enhanced energy performance by conservation of energy where possible (Lighting, Equipment, Air Conditioning etc).
· Contribute to the continual improvement activities of the OH&S, Environmental and Energy Management systems through participation, providing feedback/ suggestions for improvement and by reporting accidents, dangerous occurrence, near miss/ illness, good catch and environmental incidents in a timely manner.
· Demonstrate commitment with respect to the OH&S, Environmental and Energy Management Systems by developing, leading and promoting a culture which supports the intended outcomes of the management systems.
· Keep skills current and be conversant with the latest developments in technologies and materials which are relevant to the Company’s business.
· Engage constructively with other functions within the Company to drive continuous improvement using lean tools and methodology.
· To meet and/or exceed the Milestones and Goals agreed with the Company.
· To take on other duties which the Company may assign you from time to time. These ‘other duties’ will be agreed with Management prior to any assignment.
The successful candidate will have:
· Demonstrable experience in Continuous Improvement and Lean
· Engineering or Science Degree/Masters
· Engaging and energetic personality, capable of bring people together to form strong productive teams.
· Have command of the subject and be able to represent Freudenberg Medical, Ireland as GROWTTH/Lean representative when needed within the wider Freudenberg Medical group
