Job Summary:
A ServiceNow Business Analyst acts as a translator between the business world and the world of technology. They bridge the gap by analyzing business needs, designing solutions using ServiceNow, and implementing them to streamline workflows and achieve organizational objectives.
key responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders across different departments to understand their current processes, challenges, and desired outcomes.
Analyze their pain points and identify opportunities for improvement through ServiceNow implementation.
Gather and document business requirements in a clear and concise manner.
Scribe:
Attend requirements workshops.
Take detailed notes, following the agenda, capturing key topics and details of conversations with clients, highlighting business requirements.
Contribute to the conversation to ensure your requirements are detailed and meet their needs.
Capture Action Items and Requirements, reviewing with customers before end of workshops.
Work with Process Consultant to document current state and desired state.
Technical Writer:
Write clear and actionable User Stories within established standards which can be consumed by Technical Consulting, QA Team, and the Customer.
Create accurate and customized training materials specific to the client’s instance.
Communicator / Representative:
Build relationships with Business Process Owners.
Elicit requirements.
Ensure completion of story-related action items.
Solution Design and Development:
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the ServiceNow platform.
Work closely with developers and IT teams to configure ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, CSM) to automate workflows and meet business needs.
Design reports and dashboards to provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.
Participate in the testing and validation of the implemented ServiceNow solution.
Develop and deliver training programs to ensure users are comfortable navigating and utilizing the new platform effectively.
Additional Skills:
Optimizing Business Processes: Leveraging ServiceNow to automate tasks, improve efficiency, and eliminate manual work.
Empowering Users with Technology: Creating user-friendly solutions that enhance user experience and facilitate better decision-making.
Enabling Business Transformation: Driving positive change within organizations by aligning technology with business goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong understanding of business process analysis methodologies.
Experience working with IT service management (ITSM) concepts and frameworks (ITIL is a plus).
Proficiency in ServiceNow platform functionalities and capabilities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear and understandable language for business users.
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.
