Position Summary

This role is responsible for supporting the establishment of the Go-To-Market strategy and achieving the market and sales goals for their product line.  This role is responsible for supporting the positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, and enabling the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure they are aligned and work efficiently to generate and close opportunities for CDK. The responsibilities of this role include all tasks associated with building and executing an effective go-to-market strategy, including market characterization, development of the go-to-market plan, driving and delivering demand generation programs, influencing pricing and distribution, enabling sales channels with tools and resources, and defining market requirements and business cases for product line investment.  The Associate Product Marketer will be the company’s leading expert in their product’s target market and value proposition.

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • Develops specific marketing plans and activities for products line to establish, enhance and distinguish product placement in the competitive environment. 
  • Supports the go-to-market Strategy and channel enablement 
    development, advocacy and execution of an operational go-to-market strategy integrating all elements of the marketing and distribution mix  
  • Exercise of creative business judgment in optimizing the lifecycle profitability of the offering 
  • Voice of the Customer, working directly with end-users to ensure best-in-class workflows and value proposition to the market 
  • Works with engineering and sales to develop new products or enhances existing product(s) or product line(s) 
  • Ensures all appropriate sales teams are adequately trained by working with training team partners and provided tools to achieve their sales quotas. 
  • Partnering with sales including customer discussions and formal presentations. 
  • Ensures sales force receives sufficient training to properly understand, present and position products to customers and prospects 
  • Progressive management of all external deliverables for product launches in partnership with Product Manager 
  • Support all external facing channels with messaging and tools including Field/Inside Sales, Enterprise Sales and Services teams  
  • Product Expert and presentation support of the product line’s offering to external audiences, including major automotive manufacturers, and dealers 
  • Provide content related to product line value propositions and all collateral and sales tools 
  • Support the development, management and implementation of a marketing launch plan for their product line 
  • Support the development of market Characterization/Targeting 
  • and communication of an actionable segmentation and positioning strategy to guide development and marketing of their product line 
  • Contribute to marketing program development of all programs driving product line awareness and demand generation 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Product Marketing, Market Analysis or  Channel Strategy 
  • Knowledge of modern product marketing concepts and techniques 
  • Proven track record designing and executing effective marketing programs leveraging web, email and social media, including behavioral metrics 
  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective business-to-business product marketing strategies 
  • Market analysis ability resulting in actionable market requirements maximizing offering profitability 
  • Strong foundation of analytic skills to support communications and business case development 
  • Excellent communications skills, to both internal and external stakeholders, both oral and written, highly skilled in content creation for digital consumption 
  •  Proven ability to support and define market strategies for multiple sales channels 
  • 10-25% Travel 

Preferred:

  • Sales/Marketing experience 
  • Automotive Dealership, Fixed Operations experience/knowledge

Compensation: $87,000-$105,000
