Job Description

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops, leads, manages and motivates staff.
• Monitors staff performance, works with Human Resources on issues, works with employees to implement goals and document progress.
• Engages senior management and business owners on pricing strategy development.
• Reviews strategy with executive management to ensure consistency with evolving corporate goals.
• Balances competing revenue, sales and profit goals to forge strategies that serve long-term interests.
• Updates pricing strategies for evolving competitive capabilities and pricing intelligence, business objectives, cost trends, value proposition and client and consultant perspectives.
• Communicates regularly with senior management to review opportunities, threats and potential new strategies.
• Ensures product pricing of all products is aligned with overall pricing and business strategy.
• Provides metrics on pricing performance and opportunities to executive and senior management.
• Champions company initiatives to define, communicate and capture FIS value in the sales process.
• Leads price negotiations, pricing approaches and new initiatives with client executive management and their advisors.
• Oversees development of pricing proposals for all contract renewals and new business opportunities.
• Provides thought leadership on creative packaging and effective price negotiation tactics for Sales.
• Coordinates efforts to collect and leverage competitive intelligence.
• Develops sales tools and messages to support value capture and pricing position.
• Leverages internal and external data sources to refresh existing value propositions and create new ones.
• Collaborates with senior managers, sales executives, relationship managers and clients to maintain and update sales tools.
• Defines, recommends and implements projects that increase understanding of FIS’s value in the market and our ability to capture it.
• Defines and maintains price lists and other tools for internal use in crafting proposals and other communications.
• Manages list price definitions to drive favorable market perceptions and appropriate value recognition.
• Leverages cross-company network to collect information necessary for pricing and influences cross-functional teams and other diverse groups to create and implement successful strategies.
• Administers and controls expenses for direct reporting staff and related expenses within approved budgetary guidelines.
• Recommends new expenditures for third party and other pricing projects that drive significant returns.
• Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operations.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, accounting, finance or business administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Requires strong management skills
• Requires strong organizational, team building, coaching and mentoring skills
• Strong understanding of FIS business strategy and how products or initiatives contributes to FIS goals
• A sound knowledge of pricing strategy with an emphasis on value based concepts including economic value analysis, role of costs in pricing decisions, segmented pricing approaches, life cycle pricing concepts, best practice negotiation strategies, pricing psychology, price sensitivity factors and measurement techniques, financial analysis including breakeven sales calculations and margin analysis and the role of competition
• Requires general business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and executive presence
• Ability to identify, address and resolve employee related issues
• Strong analytical, statistical and problem solving skills
• Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks
• Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentations
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner
• Exceptional interpersonal skills: establishing personal and professional relationships among diverse internal and external publics
• Skill in productivity, planning, and workload management
• Ability to design, document and implement process improvements


FIS JOB LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Senior management level role. Establishes operational objectives and work plans; delegates assignments to Risk Analysts and Specialists. Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect. Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Manages activities of two or more sections or departments.



FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $123,810.00 - $207,980.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
