Role Definition
Manages engineering for design and development of technologies, components, systems, products, or services.
Responsibilities
• Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders.
• Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization.
• Managing high-impact, short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality.
• Maintaining product release plans and material plans; driving programs to completion on time and within budget.
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

Set and manage KPIs for the software development team

Maintain technical proficiency in modern software product development including but not limited to cloud, data science, service orientated architecture, mobile applications, security, DevOps and alignment concerns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor level degree from an accredited college or university
Hands on software engineering (encompassing full product development lifecycle) or experience leading software engineering teams
Prior supervisory/team lead role
Top Candidates will also have:

Advanced knowledge of current and emerging technologies
Experience with leading the transformation of teams
Knowledge of mining technology and solutions
Experience with the MineStar product
Demonstrated ability to deliver using Agile Project Management and DevOps tools and processes within context of commercial programs
Agile development with experience/knowledge of the SAFe, Scrum, Kanban and Lean methodologies

Proven ability to lead via influence, and engage all levels of an organization
