Position overview

We are looking for an International Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC) Operator who will be embedded at Netflix’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in Los Angeles, CA.

The International RSOC Operator will be responsible for monitoring all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems for Netflix’s non-UCAN regions (EMEA, APAC, LATAM). The Operator will serve as the liaison between on-site security teams, the GSOC team, and the Enterprise Security team. The Operator is directly responsible for the accurate documentation of routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities and maintains control of all equipment in the RSOC.

This position will work the graveyard shift from 1900 - 0300 Sunday to Thursday to align with international working hours.

Essential Job Functions
- Monitor all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems within the designated region(s) via the provided monitoring systems
- Proactively monitor all surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs
- Monitor and respond to all security/life safety system alarms
- Answer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones and intercoms: speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies
- Handle (without delay) complaints and unusual/critical event information by escalating to pre-identified contacts
- Accurately document routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities (accomplished via shift reports, pass-down logs, incident reports, incident reports log, or other established methods)
- Inform (without delay) the Shift Supervisor / Account Manager of any missing, damaged, or inoperative equipment or communications, alarm, CCTV, or other systems
- Control and monitor the two-way communication systems
- Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders


Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience working in a security control center environment
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred but not required) in International Relations, Security Studies, or a related field 
- Working level proficiency in web-based social media platforms, search tools, productivity applications, and communication technology
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to work with highly confidential information
- Excellent personal communication and diplomacy skills with the ability to work inclusively with others
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organizations
- Multilingual capabilities is a plus
