The Position

As a Senior Automation Developer, you are focused on developing and maintaining customer-centric solutions using scripting languages and robotic process automation. You use your communication and critical thinking skills to assess ideas and confirm requirements. You exhibit a strong sense of accountability, manage your time effectively to achieve goals, and actively mentor junior developers by sharing expertise and providing constructive feedback.

You are working in a collaborative and agile environment, surrounded by other automation & data enthusiasts at the Roche Services and Solutions (RSS), building solutions for our Roche peers and ultimately impacting our patients. The Opportunity

• Designing, developing, testing and supporting solutions to automate processes through RPA, scripting, Desktop Automation (e.g. VBS, Google AppScript, SAP Script, Python, etc). 
• Partner closely with Global Product Owners, developers, business analysts/partners, platform teams and boost cross-regional collaboration and leverage existing solutions. Be the go-to person for all technical questions on the implementation and operations of automation processes, especially bringing the technical judgment to the table to select the best tool for a use case
• Lead implementations with regional and/or global teams. Participate in requirements gathering and design through client meetings, interviews, and workshops. Assess automation opportunities from a technical perspective to arrive at an optimal solution.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing them with technical expertise, support, and constructive feedback to enhance their professional growth

Who You Are

• Ideally, you have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics..). Equivalent experience in the area of Automation
• You bring a solid track record of 5+ year developing solutions in at least 1 of the following technologies/platforms: UiPath or similar RPA tools, Programming languages (e.g. JavaScript, Node.js, .Net, VBA/VBS, Google App Script, SAP Scripting, Python). Nice to have: experience in agile organizations and Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc., familiarity with OKRs is a plus
• English fluency is required for all Roche internal interactions
