Summary: Responsible for overseeing network operations and ensuring service levels for data and voice networking equipment and software. This role involves developing standards, procedures, and processes, managing the support of new technologies, network performance and reliability, and defining service level agreements. The Network Operations Manager will lead the daily activities of the network operations center and manage resources and equipment for telecommunications and information processing.

Responsibilities:

• Manage network operations and maintain service levels for networking equipment and software, including mainframe equipment, PBX, and network processing devices.
• Develop and implement standards, procedures, and processes for the network operations group.
• Plan and manage the adoption of new technologies, including wireless, to enhance network performance and reliability.
• Define and negotiate service level agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the network operations center.
• Plan human resources, equipment arrangements, and electrical power and cable requirements for telecommunications and information processing equipment.
• Mentor supervisors, project leaders, and technical staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
• Report regularly to senior management, including the IT Chief Operating Officer, Director of Network Operations, or Operating Unit IT Executive.

Required skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience, including managing teams responsible for technical service, hardware/software engineering, and support in LAN/WAN and multi-platform environments.
• Experience in middle-level management within network operations functions.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and projects.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
