Global Defense Sector Finance, Vice President

The Opportunity:

Lead the company’s largest P&L, including the day-to-day financial management of the overall business and the long-term strategic business objectives. Manage the overall financial health of the sector while ensuring the financial strategies align with the sector’s near and long-term goals. Provide insights to Defense Sector leadership to promote profitability and growth through diversification of the portfolio – including M&A, product sales, commercial partnerships, and multiple business segments. Engage regularly with senior operational executives at the company and lead discussions and activities required to achieve the sector’s financial objectives. Coordinate the activities of an approximately 220-person program finance team in the Defense Sector, including managing and implementing a bottoms-up forecasting process and identifying and managing risk effectively in accordance with the company’s ERM process and talent assessment. Manage across a complex and matrixed organization and provide insights about business performance to corporate and senior leadership. Lead in alignment with the company’s values while creating a cohesive community of practice filled with development and learning opportunities amongst the Finance talent base. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required

You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience with leadership in the accounting and finance function of a high performing technology company

  • Experience leading the finance function of an advanced technology company with detailed exposure to best practices with annual planning and financial analysis

  • Experience, as part of a leadership team, driving profit through diversification of the business through organic growth, partnerships, M&A, and creating new business models

  • Experience as a finance executive who has ascended the ranks and can advise, direct, and lead a team in a collaborative, hands-on manner

  • Experience with finance and accounting at a technology provider delivering products and solutions to the government

  • Experience leading an FP&A function for a technology provider delivering products and solutions to the government

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external constituents using excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience interacting with a Board of Directors, including presenting and preparing materials for Board use, would be a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $240,000.00 to $399,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
