We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join our team in France!

The Technical Sales Manager plans, organizes, and develops sales organization for company markets that will produce optimum profitability. Liaises directly with customers and potential customers in a technical capacity in order to develop new sales. Creates strategic sales plans. Provides direction to, and manages, sales team.

Location: Montargis, France

Your Challenge:

  • Implements sales and marketing strategies to produce maximum market penetration with the new customers and programs within targeted market. May work directly with group sales management and individual sales team members to implement Business Unit sales strategies.

  • Assists Commercial, Division and/or Regional Managers with evaluating market trends and how trends impact business / direction, measures the existing markets and company’s share, identifies new markets and new product and sales opportunities and works to expand share of market with new and existing accounts.

  • Maintains and cultivates existing key accounts by establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships and maintaining personal contact with top echelon (key) customers and internal/external customers alike, in support of meeting and/or exceeding targeted business goals.

  • Develops long and short-term strategic plans/strategies for acquiring new and managing existing accounts and maximizing market penetration:  

    • Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings

    • Interprets long and short-term effect on sales strategies in operating profit

  • Provides forecasting for new and potential accounts as required

  • Provides first line in technical discussions with potential and existing customers and promotes particular services and facilities through technical

Your Expertise:

  • A manufacturing/engineering, technical background is essential to develop the key markets and promote business units technical products and services along with a broad understanding of manufacturing methods, practices and procedures.

  • Experience in developing key manufacturing markets and sectors.

  • Strong communication, presentation and public speaking skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer interfacing abilities and can positively influence others.

  • Excellent ability to quickly understand and identify technical and business opportunities.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage difficult situations.

  • Solid computer skills experience with Microsoft applications.

  • 5-7 years of Sales experience or related field.
