What the Inventory and Shipping Technician role is about:

The Inventory and Shipping Technician will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, monitors stock movements, and coordinates shipping logistics to ensure compliance with operational procedures

• Coordinate trailer moves (inbound/outbound, service needs) with shunters.

• Manage inbound receiving priorities in WMS to minimize customer impact.

• Investigate and report shorts; escalate to supervisors when required.

• Communicate instructions, escalations, and special requirements to Shipping Receivers and management.

• Assign RF equipment and manage WMS label creation, printing, and supply.

• Confirm orders, prepare BOLs and transportation documents.

• Relay operational delays to transportation and customer service teams.

• Perform other assigned duties and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Create KPI and promotes data driven process approach

• Assist in root cause analysis and resolution of inventory discrepancies.

• Support the implementation of new warehouse technologies and process improvements.

What you need to be a Inventory and Shipping Technician Student:

• Current enrollment in post-secondary school

• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams

• Great customer service skills and communication

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work
