We are adding to our team!  We are seeking an Engineer – Mechanical to join our team. You will design, develop, and optimize components, products, and systems using SolidWorks software. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting design issues, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. This position is located in Portage, IN; all applicants must be within 1 hour driving distance to be considered. 

You will:

• Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorks software.
• Generate accurate CAD files for manufacturing and prototyping.
• Develop innovative solutions to meet product requirements.
• Work closely with ETG project managers, manufacturing teams, and other engineers to ensure designs meet project goals and deadlines.
• Present designs and concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final designs.
• Collaborate with prototyping teams to create physical models.
• Perform simulations and stress analyses to validate designs.
• Identify and troubleshoot design-related issues.
• Maintain organized documentation, including technical specifications, design iterations, and change logs.
• Ensure all designs adhere to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated with the latest SolidWorks features and engineering practices.
• Suggest improvements to design processes and tools.
• Be an ambassador that prioritizes the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the Careers of our associates. 

You have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in using SolidWorks for mechanical or product design.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, including modules such as Simulation, Sheet Metal, and Weldments.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, 3D printing).
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering standards.
• Understanding of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics).
• A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.
