Enovis is looking for a Senior Supervisor, Manufacturing that is passionate about leading a diverse team and driving improvement daily. Position Overview
The Senior Supervisor, Manufacturing will provide leadership and direction for the success of their direct associates in the day-to-day activities of operations.
Responsible for leading all operational activities to meet organizational goals, regarding safety, quality, output, and cost objectives.
Prioritizes customer order schedules and demands based on new product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
Plans and administers procedures and budgets.
Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and labor.
Develops schedules and labor requirements for assigned areas.
Selects develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Receives assignments in the form of goals and objectives and the process by which to meet goals.
Directs subordinates on predetermined work assignments which are completed using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
Supervises and tracks employees and may occasionally perform similar work as their subordinates.
Frequently advises others on complex matters.
Ensures that government regulations and company standards are achieved and maintained in production and quality control.
Participates in production and capacity planning.
Leads a team of direct hourly production employees.
Strong written and oral communications, leadership, and organizational skills are essential as well as a full understanding of the manufacturing operation and EGX (Enovis Growth Excellence)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to lead and motivate a team of associates to desired goals
Working knowledge of lean concepts and methodology
Ability to work well with cross-functional team members
Manages others to ensure appropriate SOPs, Standard Work and enforces applicable personnel policies and procedures
Actively participates in performance management and optimizes labor needs with business and customer requirements
Ensures quality assurance and enforces our policies and procedures, supports training requirements and compliance needs
Must have excellent conflict resolutions skills and be able to handle confrontation diplomatically; must be able to work in a dynamic environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged
Sets and achieves challenging goals; demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles; measures self against standards of excellence; takes calculated risks to accomplish goals
Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings
Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization’s goals and values
Ability to work with ERP system to make transactions and basic reporting (Oracle)
Ability to leverage data to drive improvements
Conducts Root Cause Analysis on deviations and detractors and provides corrective actions and preventive measures
Rigorous adherence to SOPs and cGMP regulations with the ability to accurately complete documentation associated with the manufacturing process in a timely fashion is required
Draft new and revise existing manufacturing SOPs/work instructions to support process improvements and maintain cGMP compliance.
Raise processing and equipment issues in timely manner to manufacturing management and actively participate in troubleshooting
Job Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years related to manufacturing leadership experience
A 4-year degree in the field of Engineering, Business or Operations
Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a regulated environment, medical devices, Medical Technology, Pharmaceutical, aerospace
Ability to drive change; approaches new strategies and assignments with a “can-do” attitude; adapts quickly
Ability to work under general direction, high level of confidentiality, and collaboration with the team
Strong communication skills with a continuous learner mindset
Strong interpersonal skills include persuasion, interpretation, discretion, and being an approachable, patient, and active listener.
Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills relating to a diversified, moderately complex issue
