Role Overview 

MiQ is seeking an experienced PR & Communications Contractor to support a high-profile product launch initiative. This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on communications professional with a proven track record in media relations, messaging, and campaign execution within the B2B digital advertising space. You will work closely with internal teams, our external PR agency, and media contacts to build awareness and excitement around the launch.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute PR Strategy: Work with our PR Agency of record to craft a comprehensive PR plan to drive media coverage, thought leadership, and brand visibility around the product launch.
  • Global PR Alignment: Ensure consistency and alignment of messaging, strategy, and execution across all global PR agencies in UK, APAC and India.
  • Media Relations: Identify, pitch, and secure press coverage in key industry publications, mainstream media, and relevant trade outlets.
  • Messaging & Positioning: Work with leadership and marketing teams to develop compelling messaging that differentiates the product in the market.
  • Press Materials Creation: Draft press releases, media kits, FAQs, executive talking points, and contributed articles.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, product, and executive teams to align PR efforts with broader launch goals.
  • Event & Speaking Engagements: Support media events, product demos, and executive speaking opportunities to enhance visibility.
  • Crisis & Issues Management: Monitor media coverage and provide strategic recommendations for reputation management if needed.\

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or media relations, ideally within tech, advertising, or media industries.
  • Experience working on B2B product launches.
  • Strong relationships with journalists, analysts, and media influencers in relevant sectors.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and messaging skills.
  • Ability to work independently and execute in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing agency partners.
  • Familiarity with digital PR tools, social media amplification, and content distribution strategies.

Pay Transparency 

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York City, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York City and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $75,000-$100,000. This range may vary for positions outside of New York City as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.
