As a Reconciliations Analyst, you’ll be responsible for daily reconciliations across banks, brokers, and custodians, identifying and resolving exceptions, and ensuring all controls and SLAs are consistently met. Working closely with both internal teams and external partners, you’ll help maintain smooth operations across our CFD, Spread Betting, and Investments business. This role is perfect for someone with reconciliation experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent attention to detail, who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily reconciliation of all CMC Group external counterparties. This includes, but is not limited to Banks, Brokers and Custodians.

  • Identify, investigate and escalate any trade, position, cash and equity balance exceptions in a timely manner.

  • Liaise with both internal departments and external parties across the CFD/SB and Investments business in order to aid investigation and to clear outstanding exceptions.

  • For all reconciliations, ensure that the appropriate operational and control processes are followed at all times, including handovers.

  • Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly Reconciliation Team SLAs are met.

  • Assist with raising Operations department invoices into CMC Market’s iProcurement system.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date documentation and procedures of all reconciliation processes.

  • Assist with Audit walkthroughs and sampling

  • Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training;

  • When dealing with all customers, clients or colleagues ensure that we provide a clear, fair and consistent high quality service that presents a professional and positive image of CMC Markets;

  • Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Intermediate Excel knowledge

  • Experience in reconciliations

  • Skilled in the use of reconciliation software.

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Methodical and thorough approach to tasks, able to work to deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Confident communicator.

  • Numerate.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Corporate Actions.

  • Working knowledge of financial markets and related products.

  • Experience within Financial sector
