Job Description:

We are hiring warehouse Order Selectors in Columbus, GA! Starting wage is $20.00/hr with hourly incentives to increase wages! Full time benefits begin within 30 days or less, weekly pay, & Order Selector shift starts at 7:30am OR 10:00am until finished

Selectors are required to work in all our departments: dry, frozen, and refrigerated - selectors qualify for addition premium for selecting in frozen/refrigerated departments

 

Position Summary:

Responsible to complete selection orders by selecting products from the warehouse racks and to assemble, palletize and/or shrink wrap products/pallets for customer orders; accountable for meeting productivity, accuracy and safety work standards. May be required to use a variety of powered industrial equipment and may be required to work in dry or cooled product areas including refrigerated and freezer compartments. This role is physical and requires lifting cases through the entirety of your shift!

What you’ll Do:

  • Select products from the warehouse racks. Operating an electric pallet jack - assemble, palletize and shrink wrap products/pallets for customer orders. This includes, fresh, frozen and dry goods.
  • For your safety, you must be able to frequently lift products weighing between 30-60 lbs. without assistance, and 75lbs or more occasionally. This includes bending, twisting, and kneeling to reach product
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Report damaged products as well as quality issues and notify supervisor of out-of-stock or low volume product(s)

 

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Must be able to follow verbal (oral) and written instructions
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and other material handling/industrial equipment
  • A positive can-do attitude!
  • Must frequently sit, walk and stand; use hands to handle, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls; and use both feet for repetitive movements as in operating foot controls.
  • Must frequently walk, talk, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to step up and down on power equipment and climb a ladder repetitively.
  • Must be able to hear and see within normal range with or without corrective devices.
  • Must lift products weighing between 30-60 lbs. frequently; ability to lift products weighing up to 75 lbs. occasionally with assistance as needed; product weight varies by assignment, distribution center products, etc.

While performing the duties of this position, employees are subject to a warehouse environment and may frequently be exposed to changes in temperature and humidity based on assignment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned, and must be able to work in the condition specified for 8-10 hours shift as assigned. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
