Here's what we're looking for:
As the Business Analytics Lead, you will identify the data needed to answer RDC’s most strategic questions, providing insights and make recommendations that shape RDC’s strategy and portfolio. You will serve as the single source of truth for RDC customer portfolio metrics and act as the orchestrator of RDC-wide business analytics. You will create effective strategies to collect data, analyze information, conduct research and implement analytics. You will bring a keen strategic focus and ability to translate data into actionable insights, championing data-driven decision making and RDC’s journey to become the leading iPDM company.

The Business Analytics Lead will report to the Head of Business Analytics & Competitive Intelligence and be a member of the wider Strategy & Growth team. The Position is based in Vienna, Austria. This is a global role and up to 30% travel (largely international) is required.
Your upcoming mission:
Within this role, your responsibilities will fall into these main areas:
Business Analytics & KPI Strategy & Orchestration
You explore, develop, implement and evaluation innovative business analytic solutions to meet customer needs (internal and external)
You act as a bridge between traditionally siloed data sets (e.g. Finance, Portfolio, CX, Sales) in order to inform RDC business decisions and promote alignment with RDC Strategy
You lead key strategic initiatives related to RDC-wide data analytics (e.g. executive dashboard creation; transversal governance data requirement / definition) – developing and coordinating project plans with stakeholders to deliver to expectations
You collaborate with other business intelligence functions (incl. Finance, Commercial) to harmonize and simply the KPI identification, gathering, collection and visualization processes
You work with technical colleagues in R&D and IT, identifying business requirements related to data analytics and supporting development of solutions that meet customer requirements (internal and external)
Customer Solution Business Analytics & KPIs
You serve as the single source of truth for RDC customer portfolio metrics
You collaborate with product, service and solution development and pipeline key stakeholders to define key performance metrics for all RDC solutions – tracking product development, commercialization and use
You serve as the accountable business owner of key reporting solutions (e.g. Looker), serving as a ‘super user’ able to interrogate data and translate it into actionable insight
You provide expertise with respect to portfolio analytics and key strategic recommendations that facilitate trade-off discussions
You collaborate with portfolio managers in articulating and visualizing one comprehensive view of the existing pipeline projects and portfolio solutions across RDC
Customer Solution Development Support
You serve as an extended member of RDC’s solution development team at distinct points in product development – providing Business Analytic expertise
You work in concert with RDC’s R&D iPDM Experience Delivery team to promote translate of Business Analytics requirements into consistent architecture and design standards for solution development teams
You champion translations of Roche’s integrated Personalised Diabetes Management ambition and Data strategy into recommendations for the solution development teams to execute
As required, you act as a ‘visitor’ to RDC solution development Agile Release Trains (ARTs), participating in standard SAFe ceremonies and providing ‘hands on’ support
Leadership & Growth Mindset
You serve as a coach and mentor, building competencies in business analytics via training, education of methods, tools and frameworks
You promote insights-backed development and data-driven decision making, developing content and delivering presentations (internal and external)

You serve as a catalyst, bridge builder and change agent – promoting strategic focus, audience-driven communication and structured problem thinking

Essential skills for your mission:
You have a BS Data, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Business Administration. Advanced degree preferred.
You are an expert in data science, analytics, statistical methods
You are familiar with standard business intelligence and analytics platforms (i.e. Tableau, Oracle). Preference given to those with hands on experience with Looker
You have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in Diagnostics / Med Tech
You have strong quantitative skills – particularly in relation to the analysis / visualization / reporting of data
You have experience in Lean Analytics, in combination with competencies in digital business and health care analytics
You are competent in the design of dashboards, information design, visualization of data for education and decision making
You ideally should bring ethics and compliance knowledge as well as data privacy, data security regulations
You are business fluent in English. Preference given to candidates with German language skills preferred, and other languages (especially Spanish) are an advantage
You are either an EU citizen or hold a valid Austrian work permit

You are resilient, comfortable working amongst ambiguity and committed to delivering quality under pressure and tight timelines
You will be expected to demonstrate the We@RocheDiabetesCare dimensions and help evolve the functions culture beliefs and bring We@RocheDiabetesCare to life, as part of the iPDM Strategy Implementation
You are a team player, comfortable working in a global, matrixed environment and able to forge strong networks
You are courageous, creative and innovative – ready to make a difference in the lives of people with diabetes globally

In Austria, we have a legal obligation to disclose the minimum salary according to our collective agreement, which is gross EUR 3.954 - per month for this position. But!
