Safety & Quality:
- Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with safety policies and regulations
- Follows-up on safety and quality related issues immediately and works towards resolution with stakeholders
- Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches on safety issues
- Proactively reduces incidents of personal injuries, safety hazards or environmental releases
- Follows proper change management practices to ensure safety and quality expectations are met
- Ensures proper tool documentation/reaction mechanisms exist and submits updates to content when needed
Communication & Collaboration:
- Partners with 1st shift teams to resolve tool process issues and maximize tool output
- Collaborates with supervisor and areas leaders to create personal performance and development goals
- Communicates proactively with MDE shift and Shift Ops leaders on the daily priorities and issues
- Attends and participates in TPM Teams, SPC, and other meetings
- Partners with other shift Engineers/Technicians to gather input for area improvement
- Communicates issues that could cause yield loss, excursions, defects, tool restrictions, or output loss
- Partners with 1st shift MDE and Shift Ops ensure existing process hold impacts are minimized
- Proactively communicates known impacts of special processing requests and potential process holds to Shift Ops and 1st shift Process Owners
Technical/Data Analysis:
- Ensures the quality process of daily operations, communicates process holds, and executes action plans
- Writes and modifies recipes to enable efficient tool processing and experimentation
- Runs and oversees progress on critical process related experiments
- Supports and monitors area processes and tools and addresses/escalates issues
- Analyzes data to make critical decisions and drive cost reduction activities
- Supports resolution of area CT/capacity related issues
- Monitors equipment usage and production efficiency to ensure max output and turns
- Provides QDR documentation and proactive follow-up on issues and excursions
- Responds to chronic SPC performance issues by driving to fix root cause
- Provides troubleshooting support for complex process problems
Project Management/Planning:
- Supports area projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the required scope, schedule and budget
- Tracks actions and provides escalation path or resources to ensure actions will be completed on time
- Coordinates and leads meetings and initiates follow-up actions
Successful Candidates must have the following Qualifications:
- Intermediate PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Intermediate understanding of the process flow related to area equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to efficiently organize tasks and projects
- Strong partnering and teamwork skills
- Intermediate understanding of the Fab process areas including area processing equipment
- Strong understanding of SPC principles
- Strong understanding of the use and risks of GeRM
- Intermediate understanding of Probe and Param functions
- Proven ability to communicate and present effectively
- Intermediate data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills
- Proven ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex problems and address root causes
- Intermediate understanding of physics, area chemistry, and algebraic concepts
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
- Proven time management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues related to process flows
- Proven ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision
- Flexible with job responsibilities and shift assignments
Education and Experience:
- Required: BS in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or equivalent semiconductor industry experience; however, other engineering or related disciplines may be considered
