In this role you will work as a member of the Digital Product team. You will ensure that Western Union has best-in-class product capabilities, which will enable our customers to have the best possible experience. You will own and set the strategy for your product line and be accountable for execution upon that strategy.
Role Responsibilities
- Own the front-end experience of our users and lead a Scrum team of Engineers, Designers, and Content writer as a Product Owner
- Work with payments, risk and program teams to decide what new payment methods and risk solutions you need on the platform.
- Create sprint roadmap based on corporate roadmap including research and authoring user stories aligned with the sprint roadmap
- In this role, you will evolve Western Union’s web platform consistency across multiple product areas through subject-matter-expertise over all product groups.
- You’ll be the champion of the customer, leading product groups on how to develop WU’s product suite to deliver the best user experience imaginable.
- You’ll be a cross-functional enabler, supporter, and liaison between the technical and business worlds as you design services that users love.
- Effectively use analytics tools, AB test tools and other front-end tools to better help define and improve user experience
- Advocate for a thoughtful resolution of bugs despite competing priorities and contrary pressure when it is clear that the product vision, user experience, or product quality is significantly compromised
- Work closely with other product groups, marketing, regional business teams, customer support teams, legal, compliance and engineering teams.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Content, Marketing, and Sales/BD to bring products to market while also partnering with sales enablement, pre-sales, clients and vendors
- Monitor industry trends to inform product strategy.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Role Requirements
- You’ll have a minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience, with total 4 to 6 years of experience in digital product development and analytics.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
- You’ll have a strong interest in digital product, commercial aspects, analytics and competitive trends along with previous experience in digital product management with e-commerce or financial services or fintech industry
- Get things done attitude; with self-motivated, with the ability to “roll-up sleeves” and prioritize critical deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a penchant for creating great customer experiences.
- Ability to break down complex experiences into simple documents, stories, and flows. Experience in developing user flows and collaboration Diagrams.
- Experience with customer research and usability testing methodologies.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders/teams in different countries with different cultural backgrounds.
- Hands on experience in product development, optimization and new product initiatives process and product life-cycle management.
- Your expertise based on experience along with technical and business acumen should ensure superior customer experience and innovation along with supported business case
- Previous experience of lean and agile working methodologies.
- Team player with ability to prioritize workload in line with tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Familiar with front end tools ecosystem (Analytics tools, Tag managers, Attribution, AB test tools etc.)
- Experience in Agile Scrum methodologies with frequent production release cycles
- Ability to understand, evaluate and discuss technical integration scenarios and architectural concepts
- Ability to document and create training for product features and platforms
- Ability to effectively communicate business requirements
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills
- Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment
- Get things done attitude; Self-motivated, with the ability to “roll-up sleeves” and prioritize
- Experience in web and mobile marketing and analytics
- Experience working in a large corporate environment
- Experience in global money movement or financial services
- Ability to effectively use – AB test tools, Analytics tools and other front-end tools is an advantage.
