CBA Technology is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.

Your Team:

The CIO for technology team ensures that CommBank has a world-class engineering capability and is at the forefront of technology, using innovative and emerging technology to help our customer and support our Group Strategy.

We work hard to ensure that best practice, whether inside CommBank or outside in the broader technology ecosystem, is discovered, sheltered, nurtured, and spread to wherever else it can drive the most benefit for the Group and our customers.

We are actively involved in the technology community, contributing education programs and partnerships that will set Australia up for success as the economy transitions to a more digital future.

Do work that matters: 

As a Manager Technology Hubs & Community, you will work on a diverse portfolio of activities to position CBA as a leader in the technology community and partnership. Growing and delivering on the Group’s technology community partnership strategy, brand reputation and talent attraction to position CBA as an employer of choice.

The role includes:

  • Delivering on and growing community partnership programs to attract and grow the best technology talent and support the growth of the broader Australian technology eco-system.

  • Supporting and driving the function, operations and activation of our Technology Hubs.

  • Ensure we are playing an active part in the local technology community

  • Coordinate and support events such as symposiums, all hands, expos or event viewing parties

  • Oversee and maintain the facilities capabilities for the Technology Hub

  • Coordinate and connect the local distributed technology teams to build a strong tech culture

  • Maintain and track the seating allocation

  • Develop and to amplify our technology stories and support brand reputation. 

  • Work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to bring our community together with a strong focus internally

We are interested in hearing from people who possess:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Community /strategic partnership experience

  • Event management experience

  • Experience in the development and delivery of communications initiatives and/or strategies

  • Ability to apply good judgement, knowledge and experience to new applications and work autonomously

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a high performance team

  • Excellent people and stakeholder management skills

  • Community /strategic partnership experience

  • Previous experience in large organisations or technology preferred, but not essential
