Job Summary
Recruits physicians to meet the organization's recruitment and strategic initiative goals. Is actively involved in the physician recruitment process from the time a position is opened through the successful retention of the physician. Positively represents the organization in all interactions with diplomacy, tact and a professional demeanor. Reports directly to the Director of Physician Recruitment for Monument Health.

Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Manages all aspects of the physician recruitment process from early contact with prospective physicians through on-boarding. Follows organization’s recruitment policies and procedures and performs all recruiting activities within the context of legal, economic and political considerations.
- Collaborates with Director of Physician Recruiting, facility/entity leadership teams, and senior leadership to determine candidate needs and vacancies. Prepares marketing plans and outlines details related to recruitment opportunities in preparation for a proactive recruitment strategy. Provides regular updates on current recruitment activity and identifies opportunities for marketing development when strategizing on hard-to-recruit-for positions and upcoming recruitments. Recognizes locations and specialties that are difficult to recruit.
- Phone screens all candidates to determine quality and fit for the organization; presents physician opportunity with detail and clarity, providing information about medical practice and Monument Health, compensation plan, benefits, and specific elements of the position; responds to candidates in a timely manner. Directs and attends candidate interviews; assists in organization of candidate site visits and attends site visit appointments, lunches, dinners, and meetings as applicable. Coordinates relocation issues with candidates.
- Builds applicant interest and determines candidate fit with position and behavioral expectations. Writes up a brief summary of candidate information not documented in their C.V. and presents to leadership for consideration. Utilizes established forms to forward candidate through the recruitment process.
- Works closely with the Director of Physician Recruiting to evaluate candidates and ultimately make recommendations for hire based on a keen working knowledge of the opportunity and the organizational fit of the candidate. Facilitate and negotiate terms of employment and employment offers.
- Conducts physician sourcing and recruitment using a variety of methods including cold calling, journal and web advertising, searching websites/databases, direct mail, attending conferences, networking, referral programs, phone interviews, and search firms.
- Provides a clearing house for all physician search efforts, developing search profiles, identifying candidates, and serves as a broker to outside recruiters as necessary through negotiated search agreements. Maintains accurate and up-to-date tracking of all opportunities and candidates status through databases and tracking tools.
- Develops and implements changes that align with recruitment strategy to ensure a qualified candidate pool.
- Constantly seeks opportunities to improve and streamline policies, processes and procedures related to physician recruitment.
- Builds and maintains credibility and trust through visibility, including effectively communicating with and influencing a variety of audiences.
- All other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
Required:
Education - Bachelors degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, or Related Field
Preferred:
Experience - 3+ years of Recruiting Experience
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
