Do work that matters

You will provide data management support and subject matter expertise in data management to key stakeholders in order to drive quality data delivery. You will be responsible for executing the various data management activities from the Group’s Data Management framework such as identification of Critical Data Elements (CDEs), performing Data Quality Assessments, capturing and completing Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 data lineages and identification of data controls.

You will be a strategic thinker to help COO (Chief Operations Office) manage its data better and help identify ways to improve the Data Management Implementation Methodology (DMIM) and Data Quality processes, as well as, Data Risk Management controls that we are building. You will report to Head Of COO Data Office.

  • Drives and contributes to the evolution of the Group Data Management policy, standards and procedures.

  • Supports the implementation of data management, ensuring that the Data Management policy suite is entrenched within various data initiatives as well as within BAU activities.

  • Facilitates the business unit’s ongoing adherence to the Data Management policy suite across all data initiatives and escalates as required.

  • Works in blended teams to define data management governance with the BU and SU Data Offices, including development of data governance metrics.

  • Champions and supports education and training regarding data management practices.

We are seeking people who are:

  • Passionate about analysing data quality while effectively engaging, educating and influencing diverse group of stakeholders and cross-functional teams inclusive of Product Owners, Crews and Squads in the Technical and Risk management areas.

  • Adept with analysing data quality and integrity issues that are impacting the business, including risk, compliance and regulatory issues.

  • Naturally talented with being tactical in providing strategic solutions to remediate data issues.

  • Experts in designing and building Data Quality and Data reconciliation reporting solutions to support on-going monitoring.

  • Able to drive initiatives and outcomes independently.

Tech skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but having significant experience and exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.

  • Data analysis using SQL.

  • Experience in developing and configuring Data Dictionary, Data Catalogue, Data Lineage and other types of metadata.

  • Exposure to data quality tools - Collibra, Alation, Ab-initio or others

  • Degree or educational background in Information Technology, Management or Business Process.

  • Proactive attitude and risk mindset.
