Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator will play a key role in supporting strategic supply chain engineering and technology projects from planning through to execution and closure. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. Specifically, this individual will lead our equipment lifecycle planning process for critical equipment, technology, and related software utilized across our North American Distribution and Strategic Alliance networks.

What you will do:

  • Project Management Support: Plan and organize strategic supply chain projects, including identification and coordination of required multi-department workstreams, establishing project timelines, and reporting on actuals versus project plans.

  • Lifecycle Roadmapping & Financial Tracking: Develop and maintain a 10-year roadmap for equipment and software upgrades across all facilities. Identify and document all project costs, operational benefits, and projected timing for expenses to support long-term capital planning.

  • Lead Ideation and Solution Alignment: Coordinate working groups to conduct deep-dive brainstorming and analysis for key strategic challenges. Serve as the primary facilitator for collaborative sessions, utilizing structured techniques to ensure diverse perspectives are incorporated, and driving the team to a consensus on the most effective and aligned path forward for solution development.

  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the timely completion of project milestones and deliverables, including operations disruption mitigation planning and transition planning.

  • Project Administration: Proactively coordinate and schedule critical meetings, prioritize work based on stakeholder needs, and communicate any issues, roadblocks, or scope creep to necessary parties.

  • Documentation and Training: Assist in developing materials and designs for presentations for update meetings or training sessions with the Supply Chain Engineering & Technology team and end-users. Observe and document best practices, technical processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Compliance: Maintain detailed records and ensure project and process activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.

When you will work:

  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

  • Hybrid schedule, 4 days in office in Wyoming, MI with 1 day remote

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations or related field preferred

  • Project Management Professional (PMP or CAPM) preferred

  • 2 years of project management experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. [Experience within a distribution, warehouse, or asset management environment is highly preferred.]

  • Works productively in the face of ambiguity or uncertainty.

  • Collaborates effectively with cross functional and divisional partners to achieve goals.

  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to problem solve and develop solutions to a variety of complex business issues.

  • Ability to perform cost/benefit analysis and track multi-year project spending timelines.

  • Follows through on commitments; demonstrates consistency between words and actions.

  • Monitors own progress in achieving milestones; prioritizes and takes action to keep work on track.

  • Recognizes changing demands and priorities; validates changes with project/program leadership.

  • Manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

  • Experience with automated material handling systems preferred

  • Networked copier/printer/facsimile

  • Google Apps (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc...)

  • MS Excel - Advanced proficiency required for data tracking and roadmapping

  • Portfolio and project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)

  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and Asset Management software required
