This position is for a Principal Cyber Systems Administrator to support the IFICS Data Terminal (IDT) product team on the Ground Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program. The candidate should have experience taking on progressively challenging responsibilities, demonstrating initiative, and driving innovative solutions. They should be recognized as a self-starter with a proven ability to lead teams, learn quickly, and deliver results in dynamic environments.

The GWS system provides missile defense capabilities that protects and defends the United States of America.

This is not a telework/remote position.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 5 years of experience OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Systems Administration for Linux Operating Systems such as RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

  • Must have a DOD 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher (ex: Security + CE)

  • Experience with various windows and Red Hat scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.

  • U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Linux Certifications (Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE)

  • Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Docker, GitLab, etc.

  • Experience with security compliance and related security scanning products (ACAS)

  • Experience in enterprise backup and restore solutions, storage area network (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS)

  • Experience with network administration and related infrastructure

  • Experience with hardware installation and maintenance to include firmware upgrades

  • Vast experience with both Windows and Linux scripting languages

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
