Job Description:

The Student, Associate Business Systems Analyst will utilize knowledge of business objectives and processes, products, people, technology, and quality concepts to: Partner with Sun Life's business and technology areas to ensure the technology and process solutions delivered and supported meet the needs of our business partners. As part of Intelligent Automation team, you will work with all areas of Sun Life, supporting our business partners by providing technology solutions needed to achieve business excellence.

Term Length : 4-months (May - August 2026)

What will you do?

  • Serve as the liaison between business units and the RPA Operations team to understand the business perspective to guide RPA Operations’ decision-making and prioritization of backlog items

  • Gain an understanding of business processes and impacts to build appropriate platform-level SLAs, as well as business service SLAs

  • Build and maintain a knowledge base to be used by the RPA operations team as a reference point for specific automations and their respective SLAs, volumes, timing, frequency, priority and urgency

  • Ensure all written documentation is clear, understandable, audience appropriate and accurately capture the key information required

  • Analyze and identify ways to optimize our license utilization

  • Find and explore ways to automate RPA Operations and Support processes

  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities from insights provided by our RPA Operations Dashboards

  • Analyze, diagnose and triage issues which require human intervention, with an eye on ensuring Design Hub principles and best practices are incorporated into the solution

  • Take ownership of support issues and engage the appropriate resources to reach resolution.

What do you need to succeed?

  • This opportunity is available to students with an August 2026 or later graduation date

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative field preferred

  • Problem solving skills through the ability to understand what the issue is, define the pros and cons and make pragmatic recommendations related to issues

  • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and meeting facilitation skills with a focus on driving results

  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Great verbal and written communication skills including the extensive use of Microsoft Office tools

  • Positive attitude and a strong customer service orientation

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize wide range of tasks

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.

Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
