Senior Manager, Traveler Research & Insight

Are you passionate about understanding travelers and using research and insight to build great brands?

In this role you will lead our Trends and Culture and Market and Category pillars, delivering insights to our partners to enable them to understand wider culture, travellers and their needs, and how they interact with our category and brands. You’ll help grow the business by providing research led recommendations to marketing teams and leadership on category growth opportunities, audience, and brand strategy.

What you will do

  • Lead Trends and Culture and Market and Category research across all our brands and markets

  • Oversee all projects and insights in this area ensuring excellent execution and the delivery of compelling insights to drive maximum business impact

  • Create and execute a research roadmap for your area and work with stakeholders across teams to ensure their research needs are being met

  • Build strong, strategic relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholders to ensure we influence key business decisions with the right insights, at the right time, in the right way

  • Proactively identify opportunities to use traveller research to create business impact

  • Collaborate with other teams such as: UX, loyalty, and customer analytics to build truly holistic insights and views of the traveler

  • Work with our Brand Measurement lead to join the dots across our department and support the Head of Research and Insight in surfacing the right work to leaders across the business

  • Be a leader within the team: coach other researchers, drive the latest research thinking, and maximise our relationships with our agency partners  

Who you are

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in consumer research & insight across agency / client side (Agency and client-side experience preferred, but high performing agency only candidates are welcomed)

  • Strong track record of leading and executing global research focussed on solving strategic category and consumer questions

  • Experience driving application of insights through entire organisations, across multiple teams and up to marketing leadership and beyond

  • Can translate complex data sets into compelling consumer stories that focus on ‘need to know’ insights

  • Able to work with and influence a wide range stakeholders all with different priorities and styles – from data focused to creatively led    

  • Comfortable in a fast paced & complex global organisation with evolving needs and priorities

  • Results orientated, balancing long-term objectives and short-term performance
