Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Under general supervision, the Infrastructure Technology Support Engineer demonstrates a general understanding of the activities performed related to engineering support, installation, and/or operations of infrastructure and other technologies across the Enterprise for the purpose of driving greater resiliency and stability of key technologies. This role involves analysis of technical incidents and developing technology solutions while interfacing with appropriate customers, management, and other technical resources. The candidate will facilitate and/or participate in the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions supporting one or more business and/or technology areas. The ability to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities is essential. This job does not manage others.
What Will You Do?
- Conduct data analysis across a broad set of information to drive improvements in the stability and resiliency of key technologies that support the Company and its Lines of Business (LOBs). Perform trending and analysis of technology incidents, evaluating and making recommendations regarding themes and candidates for deeper analysis and root cause investigation.
- Employ Data-Driven and Analytical Skills and Tools to do the following:
- Complete data analysis across a broad set of information using Excel and other available tools to find common patterns/trends.
- Analyze data in aggregate to identify broader issues, including those that may be less obvious.
- Conduct deep Root Cause Analysis to identify the true source of problems (using tools like the 5 Whys).
- Uncover and drive lessons learned.
- Problem-solve and collaborate with other teams to uncover and assess information.
- Identify ways to use automation for analysis and to drive solutions.
- Exhibit natural curiosity and look for creative ways to obtain information to help solve problems.
- Seek and identify practical solutions to recurring problems and remediation of systemic root causes. Effectively identify proactive ways to detect and prevent issues.
- Use team best practices, standards, and templates.
- Drive continuous improvement using a minimum viable product mindset and a fail-fast approach.
- Facilitate Communication and Reporting:
- Deliver clear messages and articulate purpose and outcomes effectively.
- Utilize diagrams, workflows, PowerPoint presentations and reports to convey information (i.e. tell the Story).
- Influencing and Collaboration:
- Effectively negotiate with others and drive positive outcomes.
- Work well with others (both within and outside the team, within ETS, and with other partners) to implement solutions that drive improved stability and resiliency of core technologies used across the Enterprise.
- Comfortably operate in ambiguous situations and independently identify and learn new skills necessary to be proficient in daily work.
- Prioritize work and manage work efforts within established objectives and priorities.
- Adhere to established quality control and security protocols.
- Provide division, department, and business area management with timely and accurate information regarding the status and performance of assigned work efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Three years of experience in Technology preferred.
- Knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Network, Database, Server, Storage, Cloud, as well as Operating Systems and software etc. preferred.
- Knowledge of process discipline and ITIL methodology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience, required.
