We are looking for a Java Software Engineer based in one of our Hubs in Boadilla del Monte, Cantabria, Málaga y Portugal, with at least 4 years of experience in significant domain knowledge of the business area and technology, and demonstrable track record of driving change in a regulated, matrixed environment.

Your role

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer based in one of our Hubs in Boadilla del Monte, Cantabria, Málaga y Portugal, a key team in our technology ecosystem.

We value delivering high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers. To this end, we are seeking candidates who will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and beyond.

  • Take responsibility of the software delivery by ensuring quality and scope expectations are met.

  • A software engineer who takes pride in their craftsmanship and in the results that they deliver.

‍Your main tasks will be:

  • Develop and maintain java-based applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.

  • Implement and integrate CCM solutions, managing customer communications and document generation.

  • Contribute to application architecture and be part of technical design decisions.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and preproduction environments.

  • Mentor junior developers.

  • Develop APIs and ensure seamless integration with CCM systems.

  • Ensure compliance with security standards and industry regulations.

What you’ll bring

You’re sure to fit in if you like technology and are constantly learning about new developments, as well as having an interest in better understanding the risks faced by the Bank. In addition to developing your technical skills, you should also be interested in improving your soft skills.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, these are the key skills we’ll be looking for in your CV:

  • Strong Java SE/EE skills including OOP, multithreading, Spring and Hibernate.

  • Extensive knowledge of working with distributed infrastructure systems and client-server architectures.

  • Strong JavaScript skills.

  • Experience in IBM API Connect and StrongLoop is a plus

  • Strong SQl skills with experience in relational databases.

  • Experience of using agile methodologies and TDD (test-driven development).

  • Experience with any of the JavaScript libraries (JQuery, AngularJS)

  • Experience in developing RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and API security protocols.

  • Knowledge of continuous Integration and continuous delivery using Jenkins and the Nexus repository manager

  • Knowledge of Docker, Git, GitHub, Openshift and MicroServices Architecture.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • University degree in technology, preferably in computer science.
