About The Team

The Billing team at GEICO oversees the tools, infrastructure, data, reporting, analytics, and services essential for delivering seamless billing experiences to internal users, end customers, and partners. Our billing platform functions as the backbone for managing financial transactions and customer interactions, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction while supporting strategic growth and ensuring compliance.

What you will do

As a Staff Engineering Operations Manager at GEICO, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex technical projects across various product areas. You will work closely with engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Your role will involve driving project execution, managing timelines and resources, and mitigating risks to ensure projects meet their objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex technical projects from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop and execute project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments
  • Ensure alignment between project goals and business objectives
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of software development processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
  • Knowledge of specific technologies or insurance industry

Annual Salary

$130,000.00 - $260,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
