As a Senior Product Manager within the Voice Communications Products team, you will manage a set of HP/Poly's award-winning Voice product offerings, that integrate hardware and software for real-time Voice Communications used in business environments.  In this role you will drive and manage the execution and delivery of phones and headsets sold globally to a broad range of business and government customers, from Small to Large Multi-National companies.  You will apply your unique mastery of product management skills, and relevant subject matter knowledge to a portfolio of highly technical products and ensure a successful life cycle, from definition to end of sale.  As a Senior Product Manager, you will contribute to product development with innovative ideas and successfully operate in HP's most complex discipline to provide highly innovative solutions to customer needs and requests.  You will lead or contribute to large, cross-division functional teams on projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives, to shape the future of communication technology and advance our market leadership.

  • Role is reporting to the Director of Product Management for the Video and Desktop Phone Portfolio. This role will own the delivery and sustaining functions of the desktop voice products and help drive the growth HP Poly Voice business.

  • Plays a leadership role and drives the progress of the product management function.

  • Leads cross-business and cross-functional teams through agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Key team member to help identify and setup complex supply chain overview and processes with ease of customer ordering and integration focus. Our products travel thru complex ODM, Disti-Channel and Partner Channel models. Key decision points are needed at each step.

  • Ability to present project status, risk mitigation, trade-off review/s and analysis to executive level teams members.

  • Monitors competitive market to determine client needs for certain product improvements and completes detailed competitive analyses.

  • Uses strong business acumen to assess new features / product requirements viability and bottom-line financial goals.

  • Strategically partners with key senior stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.

  • Recommends product requirements and definitions to align with stakeholder's needs.

  • Collaborates with the cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners on processes, process improvements, supply chain resiliency/optimization and prototypes to bring potential solutions to life.

  • Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle.

  • Tracks and reports key metrics to drive future product developments.

  • Collaborates with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product launch plans, and marketing collateral.

  • Demonstrates process improvement and project management experience, preferably with the implementation of large projects.

  • Manage the life of the product post launch through to end of life, working closely with operations and category to ensure all products are available and inventory is closely managed.

  • Support new product introductions to ensure that post launch activities such as transition and partner certifications are completed.

  • Understand all aspects of the planning and delivery process to ensure that products are delivered in line with the documented plan of record.

  • Provide inward customer and channel feedback to the planning team to complete the circle and prepare for the next generation of products

 

Education & Experience Required:

  • Four-year College Degree in Operations Mgmt, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline (Graduate-level degree preferred).

  • Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in product management, hardware and/or software product development, or a related field.


Preferred Certifications:

  • Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner Certification, or any other related certifications.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
