About the Role

• Handles new business applications and agency enquiries effectively and efficiently.
• Assists function head to coordinate and supervise daily operations.
• Assists in developing and implementing plans and goals for the department.
• Promotes digitalization initiatives of the Company to strive for processes simplification and operational efficiency.
• Handles requests and inquiries from relevant governance bodies effectively and efficiently in accordance with the department’s benchmark set.

Roles and Responsibilities:

New business functions (50%)

  • Provides prompt underwriting and enquiry services on new business in order to support our agency in doing business;
  • Underwrites new business within authority;
  • Provides support to UNI related issues, including but not limiting to case review, pending analysis, make adjustment regarding appeal from agents and higher approval cases from Hong Kong Operations;
  • Provides support to Hong Kong Operations for UNI related issues and processes x-batch cases;
  • Prepares UNI reports, such as CRS, FATCA, AML checking and SNO reports.

Handle requests from Macau government office (25%)

  • Assists Department Head to handle requests or inquiries from relevant Macau governance bodies and   drafts relevant reply documents;
  • Conducts all administrative work to relevant parties in a timely manner;
  • Handles all requests from relevant government bodies effectively and efficiently; implements best practices across all levels.

Innovative projects engagement (15%)

  • Establishes and maintains good relationships with HK support team;
  • Aligns processes, resources-planning and department goals with overall strategy;
  • Supports and promotes the TDA initiatives to strive for operational efficiency.

 Other responsibilities (10%)

  • Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and / or other requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate with 5-6 years’ solid experience in underwriting or in the financial industry; of which 3 years in supervisory level;
  • Strong organization, planning and problem solving skills;
  • Effective presentation, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong staff coaching / counseling skills;
  • Administration knowledge in responsible area(s);
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, particularly in business writings;
  • Good command of computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Chinese typing.
