Position Purpose:
Research, resolves, and tracks suspected compliance/privacy issues and provides guidance to management and employees. Conducts internal/external compliance audits and reviews of compliance-related concerns. Provides information on compliance activities as needed.
Logistics:
This position has the potential to be 2 days remote and 3 days onsite in Columbia, SC, after an initial training period in-house (which is undefined in terms of length). Please note this is subject to change based on employee performance and/or business need.
What You’ll Do:
Conducts ongoing, internal and external, compliance reviews and audits ensuring compliance with applicable contract provisions and government regulations and identifies all necessary improvements. Provides guidance to management and employees as needed. May investigate and make recommendations from a compliance standpoint.
Analyzes federal and state regulations and guidance to determine impact to business. Initiates and monitors Corrective Action Plans necessary to accomplish and sustain compliance.
Generates and submits data and reporting on compliance activities as needed to government and regulatory agencies. Interacts with regulatory officials as necessary.
Reviews program materials for compliance and quality. This may include member materials, marketing documents, and training curricula. May act as liaison with external organizations.
To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need:
Required Education:
Bachelor's
Degree Equivalency:
Associates plus an extra 2 years of job-related work experience for a total of 6 required years' experience (please see required work experience)
OR
8 years job related work experience (please see required work experience)
Required Work Experience:
4 years health insurance, compliance or audit, investigations, or corporate-level related experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization.
Excellent analytical or critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to make sound decisions and work independently.
Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
Required Software and Tools:
Microsoft Office.

Strong knowledge and/or experience with regulatory compliance and the operational process associated.
Some Auditing exposure.

Typical office environment. Some travel may be required.
