The Finance Manager leads the business analysis function that is responsible for providing analytical support to Towne Park’s operations organization and senior leadership team.

The Finance Manager leads the business analysis function that is responsible for providing analytical support to Towne Park’s operations organization and senior leadership team.

Descriptive Statement(s)

% of Time

  • Oversees Finance’s role in the month end close process of reviewing invoices for accuracy and balancing GOP. Liaises with Ops Senior Leadership to analyze P&L results. Manages the company’s consolidated forecast, including the compilation and distribution of the weekly update report to the Executive Committed and Operations Vice Presidents- 35%
  • Oversees the maintenance and enhancements to site forecast files and revenue spreadsheets. Drives the annual budgeting process, including meeting with senior management to align on targets and allocations, managing communications with the field, directing and leading the site level and overhead budget builds and coordinating with reporting and accounting on integrating budget into financial systems. Works with operational leadership on contractual issues on existing business- 35%
  • Recognizes areas to improve the effectiveness of our financial planning and forecasting activities and strives to streamline processes and improve tools. Works cross functionally with accounting to ensure procedures are feasible across the enterprise. Enforces and maintains consistency of information and reports, share best practices and develop systems knowledge- 30%

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • Advanced degree preferred but not required

Required Licensure, Certification, etc.:

  • N/A

Work Experience:

  • Three to five (5-7) years of experience in financial analysis or equivalent analytical experience and a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Skills:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply problem solving skills to complex financial scenarios.
  • Extremely high level of aptitude with the ability to utilize advanced functionality of Microsoft Excel.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and various financial technology and reporting applications.
  • Written and verbal communication skills to effectively address all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in dealing with matters of significance for the company.
  • Ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of settings with a demonstrated understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business policies, procedures, equipment manuals, training materials, and corporate communications.
  • Ability to compose professional internal and external business communications including reports, memos, letters, and e-mails.

Authority to Act:

Working Environment

The majority of work will be performed in climate-controlled environment, but may be exposed to inclement weather and varying degrees of temperatures on occasion.
