Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance a large-scale enterprise network environment. The role involves a balance of project-based engineering work and business-as-usual (BAU) operational support, with participation in a structured 24/7 on-call rotation. The ideal candidate will have strong routing and switching expertise, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively within change management processes. The role is a hybrid of working from home, with occasional travel to office or data centre locations within the APAC region.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and develop enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and resilience.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.
• Design, implement, and support network solutions including routing, switching, and VPN services.
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF-based network environments.
• Create and maintain high-level and low-level network documentation, including diagrams and configuration standards.
• Monitor network performance and resolve complex incidents and connectivity issues.
• Work closely with internal teams, third-party vendors, and service providers to deliver network projects and resolve incidents.
• Follow formal change management processes, ensuring all changes are documented, validated, and implemented with minimal risk.
• Balance project delivery alongside BAU operational responsibilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the adoption of automation or scripting where appropriate.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching technologies.
• Fundamental knowledge and practical experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
• Proven experience in deploying and supporting VPN configurations.
• Experience working within structured change management frameworks.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across project work and operational support.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong documentation skills, with experience producing both high- and low-level designs.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience with Cisco SD-WAN solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto network and security platforms.
• Exposure to automation and scripting technologies (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Previous experience supporting 24/7 enterprise environments.
