Job Summary

Field based support to LifeVest reimbursement efforts by working collaboratively with partnered Territory Managers, ZOLL customers, National Accounts and reimbursement operations personnel to assist with reimbursement/managed care-oriented activities.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates the authorization process with the hospital personnel, payer representatives and ZOLL reimbursement operations
  • Provides education on the LifeVest benefits & process to hospital case managers, payor case managers & other payor focused contacts
  • Maintains customer profile data on the different layers of managed care contacts in geography
  • Works in partnership with the National Accounts team to ensure that the Field Reimbursement Specialist activities support the managed care goals and objectives
  • Responsibilities include supporting reimbursement focused activities for field sales, proactively educating hospital and payor case management, preparing appropriate documentation packages for authorizations, and understanding and communicating the managed care flow of the geography
  • Initiate and follow up on Letters of Agreement with targeted payors
  • Educate hospital case management, physicians and physician offices on reimbursement best practices and initiatives
  • Communicates with field sales on reimbursement best practices and trends with designated payors
  • Available as point of contact for field sales and field sales leadership during reimbursement process
  • Available/willing to work/travel weekends and evenings


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience required
  • Completed a Registered Nursing Program or other equivalent clinical background required
  • Case Manager or Resource Utilization experience preferred
  • Cardiology clinical acumen required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Computer literate with the ability to learn proprietary software
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Must be able to comfortably navigate the internet as well as Payor websites

Salary range - $66,000 to $99,000
