A Brief Summary of This Position

This position involves advanced assembly tasks, potentially including leading or training others, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to handle non-routine situations. Responsibilities include fabricating parts, reading complex blueprints, operating machinery, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The role often requires more experience and a deeper understanding of the processes than a standard assembler position.

Essential Functions

  • General assembly labor using standard drill presses, punch presses, cutoff saws and boxing equipment.
  • Set up template for drill and saw fixtures.
  • Properly assemble, produce and package products by following all specifications and procedures as
  • outlined in the company product specification manual
  • Report daily tasks performed on the production sheet.  Record scrap and “cut-downs”.
  • Report all inventory problems.
  • Inspect quality of units produced.
  • Follow prescribed or standard safety regulations.
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and order condition.

  • The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a professional manner.
  • The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions.
  • The ability to work overtime as needed.

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • High School Diploma or GED is highly desirable but not required
  • One year of general labor experience preferably in a manufacturing environment or willing to learn
  • The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a professional manner
  • The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • More than one year of experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in working with composites or in a similar manufacturing environment

SKILL

Educational Background

Must have basic mathematical skils to be able to work with decimals and fractions; tape measurement skills, and ability to measure using metric and standard system. The ability to read, write and follow non-complex instructions (Reading floor prints and blueprints).

Job Training Skill Development

In addition to the above, should have a basic understanding to make most necessary demolding decisions within three months and have total comprehension of the job within one year.

The incumbent must be able to voice concerns and provide feedback on all production, quality, and safety issues regarding the scope this position.

Physical Effort

Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable. Able to balance; bend/stoop; climb stairs; crawl; crouch; climb ladders; kneel; push/pull; reach above shoulder; repetitive motion; squat, and feel. Complete repetitive movements. Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable. Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds. Requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/air conditions and around dust. Exposure to hazards in the work environment such as chemicals, oil, power industrial vehicles
