As a member of our team, you will support and influence sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in the complex solutions process focusing on Bloomberg Industry Group’s Bloomberg Tax Provision software. You will collaborate with sales, client services, product development and technical support resources to ensure proposed solutions include technical elements that accurately address customer business needs and are appropriately supported by key customer decision-makers.

What you will do: 

  • Prepare and deliver technical demonstrations, speak to market trends and relay industry insights to customers and prospects

  • Comfortably interact with executive leadership and C-Level end users by addressing real-life use cases and pain points within current provision workflow

  • Proactively scope technical solution prerequisites to address customer requirements, assess customer needs and recommend solutions that optimize the value for both the customer and the organization

  • Secure input from all necessary solution stakeholders to understand key customer business drivers and functional requirements

  • Opportunistically pursue additional business development initiatives while collaborating with the sales team and sales leadership to achieve new sales targets and reach retention goals

  • Serve as the expert liaison to provide market feedback to the sales organization and product team while also guiding commercial strategies and validating product roadmaps

  • Ensure a smooth transition between pre-sales specifications and the implementation team once contracts have been awarded

  • Provide coaching and professional development to sales team members to effectively enhance their product knowledge, procedural acumen and technical sales skills

 

You need to have: 

  • 5+ years of experience in a national tax practice working with a sophisticated customer base

  • Extensive experience with ASC 740 Tax Provision (Financial Accounting Standards Board/FASB Accounting Standards Codification Topic)

  • A deep understanding of the technology, processes and data associated with tax provision

  • Exuberant client-facing skills and presentation capabilities (ideally with VP and C-Level contracts)

  • Knowledge of a consultative and complex full-cycle sales process is preferred

  • Strong technical aptitude and software demonstration proficiency

  • Flexibility for overnight travel, as needed

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related fieldCurrent or recent Big 4 experience is highly preferred
