Contract Type: Work Placement (1 year)

What is the role?

As an Operations Work Placement Student, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day running of the Academy, working closely with the Head of Academy Operations and the wider Operations Team. You will underpin the daily administration tasks of the department to include, but not restricted to;

  • Games and training administration

  • Match day coordination

  • Academy events

  • Academy First Team ticket allocation

  • Tours and tournaments

  • Player transport

  • General Academy administration


This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual who is passionate about football operations and wants to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

What are we looking for?

  • A highly organised and detail-oriented individual.

  • Passionate about football and sports operations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn new systems.

  • A proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

This placement MUST form part of the overall degree programme in order for you to be considered.

The competencies which are required include:

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in team sports setting

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of a role within an operational department or a administration role within a sports team.

Essential Qualifications (including certifications):

  • Studying for a degree in a relevant field
