About the role
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize costs, quality, contract renewals, and cost out projects.
- Provide key negotiation and pricing advice to assigned Lines of Business on each transaction with an emphasis on delivering bottom-line financial savings and/or risk minimization.
- Demonstrate understanding of the client’s business, objectives, and constraints when addressing their needs. Respond to clients with the appropriate sense of urgency and importance.
- Maintain necessary sourcing system data, metrics, and spend/savings analytics in support of departmental reporting and policy and procedure requirements.
- Partner closely with key business stakeholders and manage supplier relationships. Develop and share category-specific operational measurements.
- Conduct vendor audits to ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, improvements, cost-saving opportunities, and efficiencies.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with our programs, including financial, operational, and reputational.
- Actively participate/lead Sourcing & Procurement initiatives that drive the continuous improvement of the Sourcing function at Corebridge.
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of experience leading and managing Professional Services, Corporate Services, and/or Technology.
- 7+ years of experience practicing best-in-class procurement or operation processes (category management, benchmarking, TCO (cost models), RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.).
- BA/BS degree in business, IT, engineering, or supply chain required, graduate degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial products, services, and industry regulations.
- Proven track record for executing Vendor Consolidation resulting in cost reductions, reduced complexity, and improved performance
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in procurement applications and tools, such as Ariba, Fieldglass, SAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, Teams).
- Strong project management skills focused on customer experience.
- Strong ability to influence others with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong packaging and presentation skills with the ability to explain supply & demand levers and complex pricing & evaluation models.
- Strong interpersonal skills to drive stakeholder and team member relationships.
- Collaborate and influence cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders to drive change and deliver on Transformation and Continuous Improvement vision and objectives.
- Deep knowledge of sourcing & procurement strategic levers and tactics.
