About you and this role

Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Internship Associate Purchasing Analyst to join our team in Terneuzen, Netherlands.

In this role, you will utilize standard operating procedures to complete well-defined activities, developing the technical skills necessary for routine tasks. You will need to understand how these tasks relate to other roles and be able to exchange information effectively within your workgroup in routine situations.

Additionally, you will be expected to apply critical thinking and analytical skills to identify potential improvements in processes and solve problems effectively. This involves evaluating information, considering various perspectives, and making informed decisions to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.

     

Responsibilities

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
• Communication: Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, to convey findings and collaborate with team members
• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of tools like Excel, SQL, Python, and data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions
• Flexibility: Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities
• Project Management: Basic understanding of managing tasks and timelines to meet project goals
• Financial Modeling: Skills in creating financial models to support business decisions
• Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing ways to improve processes and increase efficiency

Qualifications

• You are currently pursuing A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain & Procurement, Business & Finance
• Relevant Coursework: Courses in data analysis, financial modeling, computer programming, and statistics are highly beneficial
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Apps, and knowledge of ERP systems

• The internship position will have a hybrid way of working certain level of flexibility will be applied

Your First 90 Days:

First 30 Days: Focus on learning and connecting with your peers. Participate in team meetings to understand the company’s operations and culture.

Next 60 Days: Begin receiving tasks to support the team on various projects, starting with mini projects. If all mini activities are successfully completed, you may be assigned improvement projects.

Your First 6 Months:

Support, enhance, and drive more efficient projects by utilizing data and digital tools. Collaborate with your team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
