Job Summary:
We at Walmart have one of the largest e-commerce platforms. This enabled by our 1P retail and 3P merchants. We enable 3rd party sellers across multiple markets like United States, Canada, Mexico, Chile, India, China etc. to sell to our customers in the United States, Mexico, Canada and Chile. In this role as the Group Director of Software Engineering, Item Compliance and Content Quality you will be responsible for building all the technology and enabling data science solutions that ensure we only sell items that meet Walmart and Industry standards and are compliant with regulations across markets. The systems you manage will ensure Walmart merchants and 3rd party sellers are able to provide accurate information for the product ensuring customer trust on the Walmart e-commerce platforms.
In this role you will lead a large team of engineers and partner with other engineering teams, data science, product management, legal and business teams across multiple business units and markets.

Experience Required:
20+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of software architecture and design leadership.
8+ years leading highly technical teams successfully.
Strong background in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed, and highly available software systems.
Experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

Create/configure minimalistic code for entire product/system and ensure the product is meeting business requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs (Applicable only to IC). Conduct code reviews for code developed by the team (Applicable only to IC). Arrange project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements (Applicable only to IC). Drive creation of scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), Testing or any other process across the domain (Applicable only to IC). Drive security of the Code Base and ensure that no security violations are introduced.
