Job Title: Financial Accountant          

Department: Finance

Job Title of Manager: Senior European Controller Tax & Treasury

Location: Dublin based remote working

Result Area

  • Responsibility for preparation of various statutory accounts for Dublin office Tax & Treasury entities in various jurisdictions under different local GAAP’s.
  • Drive compliance for all aforementioned entities ensuring all local and organisation timelines are sufficiently met including corporate governance and taxation
  • Responsible for month end management accounts and reporting thereof for Dublin SBD tax & treasury entities
  • Responsible for monthly account reconciliations for all entities
  • Provision of support to Tax department
  • Development and management of effective working relationships with both internal and external contacts

Critical Incidents

·Preparing annual statutory accounts in several countries

·Preparing month-end accounts for various entities under US GAAP

·Performing key reconciliations

  • Resolving queries with contacts in different areas of the business
  • Support in preparation of Irish Tax Returns
  • Liaising with external auditors
  • Preparing annual tax packs submitted to US Corporate Tax
  • Providing support and assistance to other team members
  • Participating in and contributing to process improvement initiatives

Accountability

  • Preparing and filing annual statutory accounts for over approx. 15 entities
  • Management of compliance for said entities
  • Assisting accurate & effective monthly reporting for all entities
  • Preparing annual tax packs submitted to US Corporate Tax
  • Preparing factoring function on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Preparing regulatory statistical returns
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations for over 20 entities
  • Overseeing the accounts payable & funding function for all T&T entities
  • Prepare board packs for presentation at board meetings in Luxembourg
  • Archive records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements
  • Ensure confidentiality of all records especially in relation to the Data Protection Act
  • Ensure compliance with group accounting policies
  • Other ad hoc duties

Requirements

Formal Qualifications:

Recently qualified Accountant and member of a professional accountancy body

Knowledge & Experience:

Computer literate including proficiency in MS Excel

Knowledge of SAP system preferable

Experience of working in a high-volume accounts environment with tight month end deadlines
