We are searching for the best talent for Operations Technician I (2nd Shift)

Purpose:

Independently, or under limited or null supervision, works on complex by nature assignments, which require considerable criteria, judgment and initiative in order to solve problems and issue recommendations. The operations technician is responsible for maintaining, complete setups and repairs of the equipment of the production lines. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all the nonplanned maintenance work assigned to him/her for all the production equipment is performed, keeping the expected levels of the Department in the GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). Compliance with the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) making observations and communicating them to his/her supervisor for their correction

You will be responsible for:

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Is responsible for the adjustments/setup of the manufacturing equipment and their corresponding documentation.

  • Provides support to manufacturing for the timely repair of equipment and machinery.

  • Performs corrective and emergency non‑planned maintenance activities according to the approved methods and documentation.

  • Participates in the transfer of new production lines.

  • Provides recommendations and technical support in new projects and OAC.

  • Complies with all the safety policies of the company and other safety precautions within the work area.

  • Complies with all the safety policies and procedures.

  • Ensures compliance with the responsibilities of the Environment Management Systems (EMS).

  • Follows the Convenient Information Retention Administration Policies of J&J and of the Campus, including record retention program, training and education, Document Retention Notices, record cleanup, inactive records and Information Management, Vital Records, and if applicable, suppliers.

  • Other responsibilities can be assigned and not all the responsibilities listed here must be assigned.

  • Has completed the environment and safety training appropriate for his/her discipline.

  • Is responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with federal, state, and local policies and procedures related to Health, Safety, and Environment.

  • Enters his/her daily tasks in eCMMS or in the designated system.

  • Responsible for the management of the CMMS MAXIMO maintenance system for Juarez regarding maintenance planning tasks.

  • Provides support in the resolution of problems related to the execution of work order processes for maintenance within the CMMS or MAXIMO system or other mobile devices.

  • Provides support for the change of assignment or reset of a user password for Hand Helds or Maximo.

  • Responsible for communicating business‑related issues or opportunities to the next management level.

  • Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices and that all needed resources are available and in good condition.

  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Technical career or equivalent, applicable to Mechanics, Electric, Electro‑mechanics, Electronics, Metrology, instrumentalist.

  • 0 to 3 years of experience and/or related training preferably, with the knowledge and skills necessary to satisfactorily perform the responsibilities of the position.

  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation, preferably in the medical industry.

  • Wide knowledge of computer packages.

  • Bilingual Spanish/English, preferably.

  • Knowledge of the Campus Systems, preferably.

  • Knowledge of the Maximo System (Computerized System for the Management of Maintenance), preferably.

  • Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) / ISO, preferably.

  • Knowledge of emergency and corrective non‑planned maintenance, calibrations procedures documentation, and quality systems, preferably.
