About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Python AI Engineer to help design, develop, and deploy scalable, production-grade AI and ML solutions. In this role, you will take ownership of AI systems from prototype stage through to production, work closely with cross-functional teams (data scientists, product managers, software engineers, business stakeholders), and contribute to shaping our AI/ML strategy and roadmap.

As a senior engineer on our team, you will be responsible for turning cutting-edge ML/AI models into robust, maintainable, and efficient applications that deliver real business value. You’ll also mentor more junior engineers, introduce best practices, and help steer architectural decisions and infrastructure.

What You’ll Do — Key Responsibilities

• Design & implement AI/ML solutions

  • Build end-to-end ML/AI pipelines: data ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment and monitoring

  • Develop AI-powered applications and services using Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).

  • Work on advanced AI use cases — from classical ML to deep learning, NLP, computer vision, or generative AI / LLM-based solutions depending on business needs

• Production-grade software engineering & AI deployment

  • Write clean, modular, well-tested Python code for AI services; ensure code quality, maintainability, and reliability.

  • Package and deploy ML/AI services via microservices or APIs (e.g. RESTful APIs), leveraging containerization (e.g., Docker) and cloud or on-prem infrastructure.

  • Define, build, and maintain MLOps pipelines: CI/CD for models and services, automated testing & validation, version control, model serving, monitoring and lifecycle management

• Architecture, scalability & performance

  • Architect scalable, robust, and maintainable ML/AI systems — including data pipelines, model serving, inference services, and integration with other business systems.

  • Optimize model performance (training & inference), resource usage, latency, and reliability — ensuring AI systems meet production-grade standards

Required / Must-Have:

• 5+ years (or more) experience in software engineering / AI / ML development, with a strong track record of building and deploying production ML/AI systems

• Expert-level Python programming skills, and comfortable writing production-grade, maintainable, performant code.

• Strong hands-on experience with ML frameworks and libraries (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) — with the ability to design, train, evaluate, and deploy ML models

• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, modular architecture, OOP/functional programming, testability, version control, and deployment strategies

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills — able to work across teams, liaise with stakeholders, and translate complex technical topics into business-relevant language
