The Position
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of FP&A who embodies a blend of top-tier financial and operational acumen to provide direction over the full range of financial reporting, analysis, planning, and forecasting activities. As a Senior Director, you will not only be a technical lead with numbers but also a transformative champion of continuous improvement and robust financial stewardship throughout the organization.
The Senior Director/Director of FP&A will be responsible for delivering insights to key Business Stakeholders to support investment, capital allocation, resourcing, and operational decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record as a financial business partner in prior Director-level roles, exceptional strategic thinking, and a demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Enable Enterprise business visibility through robust analysis and presentation

  • Partner with the SVP of FP&A on delivery of both Executive and Investor Reporting packages; utilizing business story-telling capabilities to drive insights to support investment, capital allocation, resourcing, and operational decisions.

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities for the business.

  • Drive operational business excellence through collaborative partnering and decision support

  • Act as a true Financial Business Partner with companies and subsidiaries across the Group, ensuring the promotion of efficient and precise financial analysis from project inception to completion.

  • Provide insights into decision making process based on a detailed understanding of business operating dynamics and value creation levers.

  • Support junior members of the FP&A team as they develop, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of accountability and professional development.

  • Lead strategic and financial planning

  • Provide guidance to multi-year strategic planning, working closely with department heads to establish enterprise goals, departmental strategies, and financial plans.

  • Ensure continuous adherence to annual planning and budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and metrics.

  • Oversee the development of accurate and insightful financial forecasts to guide decision-making.

  • Build best-in-class Enterprise FP&A team, processes, and tools

  • Drive the company's FP&A strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This includes collaboration with various departments, inclusive of the broader Finance team, HR, legal, Tax, Treasury, Strategy and Operations, Shared Services, Real Estate, Procurement, etc.

  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, providing opportunities for growth and skill-building.

  • Champion a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the FP&A team.

  • Develop and maintain robust financial models and reporting systems to provide timely, accurate, and actionable information to key stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and procedures and maintain a framework for risk management and control.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • Experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, Credit Banking, startups, new FP&A function buildups, systems implementations, and project management is a plus.

  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in finance and FP&A leadership roles. Prior demonstrated success as a true financial business partner within complex organizations with various entities across multiple geographic locations is a must.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team towards high performance and operational excellence.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. Excellent business story-telling ability.

  • Highly practical and capable of applying high level strategic financial thinking with ground-level operational execution; understands the real-world implications of theoretical analysis.

  • Prior experience working on portfolio company or group-level financial analysis is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Adaptable and forward-thinking, capable of anticipating and navigating the organization through financial challenges and opportunities.
