Profile Summary

Reporting to the CHRO, the HR Business Partner Lead plays a pivotal role in driving the smooth and efficient execution of daily Human Resources operations. This position works closely with senior executives to lead Talent and HR initiatives, ensuring they are strategically aligned and deeply integrated with the organization’s overall business goals and cultural values. 

US based, the role covers an international workforce based in the US, UK, Bermuda, Singapore, Canada and Switzerland.  The HR function is fully agile. 

Profile Description: 

Leadership: 

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the people and talent mission, goals, for the multi-jurisdictional Company, and monitor effectiveness and impact. 

  • Identify and address the current and future talent needs and challenges of the Company and work closely with the Talent COE to support the implementation of initiatives that foster talent and skills development, strategic succession planning and growth opportunities.  

  • Support Senior Leadership on all human resource and talent initiatives and issues and ensure their alignment and integration with the business strategy and the organizational culture.  

  • Lead and manage the Human Resource Business Partnering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning and excellence.  

  • Lead the ongoing assessment and implementation of opportunities to augment the workforce with leading technology and AI investments, as well as ongoing assessment of in-sourcing/out-sourcing strategy.  

  • Drive effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as employees, managers, vendors, and regulators. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversight of the employee lifecycle 

  • Facilitation of the annual HR processes (performance, reward, talent) 

  • Serve as the point of escalation for people and talent issues as they arise from stakeholders, providing guidance and oversight of advice provided by members of the HR Business Partnering Team. 

  • Strategic HR support to ensure talent is engage and capable to meet business goals   

  • Risk Management through compliance with Risk Controls and effective management of employee relations with no unresolved cases of employee conflict 

  • Ensure businesses run to plan and hiring aligns to need and recognised benchmarks 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field, or equivalent work experience 

  • Typically has 15 more years of human resources, business, or managerial experience. 

  • Ideal candidate has worked in a financial services/banking/insurance industry and possesses business acumen. 

Preferred Skills/Experience 

  • PHR or SPHR Certification 

  • Experience in Workday 

  • Deep experience implementing learning, training, and development programs. 

  • Highly skilled presenter and communicator 

  • Demonstrated skills as a collaborative partner within an HR model that relies on COE partnership. 

  • Strategic HR partner with experience supporting multiple executives as a trusted advisor. 

  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data, recognize trends and recommend action. 

  • Ability to recognize needs, solve problems, anticipate issues, and develop employee centric solutions using strong analytical, business and financial acumen. 


Location: New York City, Some travel will be required.

In addition to salary, Resolution Life US offers a comprehensive benefits package, including our health & wellness program, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The range for the role may differ based on the location.
New York City: $230,500- $281,700
