About the Role

This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications plan and public relations strategy to position AIA Philippines as a thought leader in Health & Wellness / Savings & Wealth, a Top 3 player in Share of Voice, as well as to strengthen the profile and visibility of the CEO and other key leaders in the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for Executive Communications (30% of total time): 

  • Develop and implement communications strategy, plans and calendar to enhance the profile and visibility of the CEO and other key leaders, including speech writing, presentations, videos and other communication materials
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other senior executives to ensure alignment of messaging and communication strategies
  • Manage the CEO’s public appearances, speaking engagements, media interviews, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning. 

Responsible for Public Relations / External Communications (30% of total time)

  • Develop and execute paid and organic PR materials and campaigns to strengthen the company’s brand representation and increase its Share of Voice in the market
  • Manage crisis communication strategies and responses, in collaboration with PR agency.
  • Collaborate with PR agencies and internal teams to manage crisis communication, and ensure alignment on messaging and branding across all communication channels. 
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities for proactive PR efforts and mitigate potential reputation risks. 
  • Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to executive communications and PR efforts, providing regular updates to key stakeholders. 

Responsible for Media Relations (20%)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including PR agency, media representatives to expand media network, focusing on Tier 1 media outlets. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, influencers to secure positive coverage and increase in media pick-ups

Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by direct manager in order to meet operational and/or other requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field
  • Experience - At least 4 years' experience in public relations, executive communications, and media relations
  • Special skills – Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories / narratives /messages. Demonstrated success in developing and executing PR campaigns that have positively impacted brand reputation and share of voice. Excellent relationship-building and networking skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
