Job Summary:
The Sales Representative plays a critical role in promoting and selling Flygt products and services to customers. This position involves identifying potential customers, conducting sales calls and growing the assigned region. The Sales Representative collaborates with cross-functional teams to address customer needs, perform market analysis, and implement sales strategies. Additionally, this role involves maintaining strong customer relationships and providing excellent customer service. Strong sales skills, a thorough understanding of the water industry, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Solve customers’ fluid handling opportunities by applying technologies to provide pumps, services and solutions to customers
  • Grow sales volume of territory accounts in compliance with company’s policies while applying various methods to generate leads such as cold calling, networking and referrals
  • Identify, develop and implement local marketing strategies to expand penetration of Flygt submersible pumps
  • Build and maintain relationships primarily with municipal end users and utility contractors to position Flygt solutions to solve customer’s issues
  • Create synergy opportunities for cross-business consultative selling based on an understanding and awareness of the Xylem solution set
  • Be alert to competitive products and practices and keep management informed of market conditions, competitive scope and approach, and any trends in the market place
  • Be able to conduct and deliver sales presentations
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions and trade shows

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Alternatively, previous pumps or service background/experience may be be considered
  • 2+ years’ sales or sales related experience (pump or process industry preferred)
  • Ability to present product education seminars to municipal end users
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Teamwork and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide superior customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the use of computer applications


Starting pay with bonus is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills and experience. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement. 
 

Salary range:

$62,000.00 - $99,000.00
