Mechanical Design Engineer

In this position, you’ll…

• Design, validate, and bring new products to market.
• Specify precise new product functional requirements.
• Design, test, and integrate components to produce final designs.
• Evaluate the design’s overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
• Execute fitness-for-use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans.
• Collaborate with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Utilize CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.
• Respond to more complex technical questions regarding the organization’s product, system, or service.
• Engage in pre-sales activities by analyzing customer’s technical needs and suggesting solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4 years of related work
• Has 2-4 years of experience in computer-aided design and engineering.
• Competent with cutting tool design and detailing
• Experience with project management
• Possesses good mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrates effective communication abilities.
• Competent with Microsoft Office software.
• Willing to travel for work
