Overview:

ADI's Digital Business Unit seeks an adept and motivated leader to spearhead the Design Evaluation Engineering function for the MCU and Processor product lines. As Senior Manager, you will be based at our Bengaluru location, playing a pivotal role in establishing and overseeing an evaluation engineering team. Your primary responsibility will encompass technically managing bench evaluation of MCU and Processor PL products, collaborating closely with both local and global design, test, and application teams.

The role will lead Bench Eval team that drive the post-silicon phase of the product development from first silicon bring-up to validation across PVT.  The ideal candidate will be technically strong and will have the experience in validation aspects for both Digital Products and Mixed signal products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage an evaluation engineering team focused on bench testing MCU and Processor PL products.
  • Lead the post-silicon phase of product development, overseeing activities from first silicon bring-up to validation across Process, Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) conditions.
  • Demonstrate technical prowess and experience in validation aspects for both Digital and Mixed-Signal products.
  • Collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams, including Product Test Engineering (PTE), Applications, Design, Design Verification (DV), FPGA, and Software teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance evaluation engineering processes and methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the Design Evaluation Engineering team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience, preferably in global semiconductor companies
  • Proficiency in bench testing methodologies and techniques for MCU and Processor products.
  • Strong understanding of validation principles for both Digital and Mixed-Signal products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and driving results.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Have experience in characterization of high speed interfaces like DDR3, PCIe, GigE, USB, HDMI, etc.
  • Have experience in characterization and validation of low power BlueTooth and Audio BlueTooth
  • Have experience in interactions with external vendors for compliance testing of DDR, USB..etc
  • Have experience in running performance benchmarks at system level for power & speed for MCUs, DSPs & NPUs
  • Have ability to interact with the Applications team and carve out system level usecase scenarios for bench validation
  • Have knowledge of the bench software development and working knowledge of IAR, Keil and other tool chains
  • Have good analytical & statistical skills and knowledge of python programming. 
  • Be well versed with the usage of bench equipment such as Oscilloscope, VI meter, Signal generator and analyzers
